OMIRA takes drones and uncrewed systems from requirement to flying prototype, run as one program: airframe design, in-house rapid prototyping and 3D printing, materials selection, supplier coordination, and build review. Prototype parts print in-house; production parts are fabricated by partner shops, with compliance decisions documented per program.

THE NETWORK

The shop that does it best, per part.

No single shop is the best at machining, molding, sheet metal, and board assembly at once, so no single shop gets the whole program. Fabrication and assembly go to outside suppliers picked for process, schedule, location, and program requirements, with supplier quotes and OMIRA’s program-management scope stated separately.

If export-controlled work may be involved, classification, registration, personnel eligibility, data handling, and supplier suitability must be confirmed before technical data is shared, with specialist counsel where appropriate.

A paid week before any program.

Hardware is expensive to guess at, so every program starts with a one-week scoped Discovery: what gets built, which partner shops fit, what the compliance posture is, and what it costs, in writing.

No hardware program is quoted without it. The plan is yours whether or not the program continues.

WHAT GETS BUILT

Six things a drone program runs on, each under the same written scope.

Airframe design

Aerodynamic surfaces, structures, and mounting geometry in CAD: frames, arms, canopies, and payload bays drawn for the loads they will actually carry.

Rapid prototyping & 3D printing

Prototype parts printed in-house in engineering polymers, iterated in days rather than purchase orders. Production tooling comes later; the first twenty versions should be cheap.

Materials & finishes

Carbon fiber plate, machined aluminum, and engineering polymers selected per part for stiffness, weight, temperature, and toughness, with finishes specified per surface.

Production parts

When the design settles, production parts route through the partner network: CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal, and board assembly, quoted separately per program.

Payload & avionics integration

Mounts, wiring runs, connector choices, antenna keep-outs, and payload bay geometry that lets one airframe carry more than one job.

Build review & checkout

Assembly documentation, fastener and torque specs, and bench checkout against the written requirements before anything is called done.

What program leads ask first.

Is OMIRA a manufacturer?
No. OMIRA manages hardware programs. Fabrication and assembly are performed by outside suppliers identified for each program.
How is export-controlled work handled?
Do not send controlled technical data through the public contact form. Applicability, registration, personnel eligibility, storage, transmission, and supplier requirements must be confirmed before technical data is shared, with specialist counsel where appropriate.
What does a hardware program cost?
Hardware programs start with a paid one-week Discovery that produces a written scope and quote. Outside supplier costs and OMIRA’s program-management fees are stated separately.
What kinds of programs fit?
AI products that touch the physical world: drones and uncrewed systems, robotics, sensor hardware, and dual-use or regulated-industry programs that need a US-based supply chain and a single accountable engineering partner.
Do you 3D print parts in-house?
Yes, for prototypes: engineering polymers on in-house additive machines, so an airframe revision is a same-week event, not a purchase order. Production parts are fabricated by outside suppliers selected per program.
What materials can a program use?
Whatever the part earns: carbon fiber plate for stiffness per gram, machined aluminum where loads concentrate, and engineering polymers for printed and molded parts. Material selection is documented in the written scope.
Can OMIRA claim the product is made in the USA?
OMIRA uses the qualified claim and recommends you do too: engineering and design in the United States, hardware fabricated through vetted US partner facilities, component sourcing varies by program. Unqualified "Made in USA" claims are regulated by the FTC and are not made on OMIRA’s behalf or yours.
